Thesis- The United States was justified in dropping the bomb, but not where they dropped it.  We dropped it in order to show that we were still a strong country and that we could strike back.  I believe if we had dropped the bombs during battle and on the battle field, it would have had a better outcome and the same terror affect on the people.  It was wrong to drop it on innocent people, but was a good idea to drop it on Japan after what they did to us.
Summary- My group's conclusion is that if we had to drop the bomb to protect our country, it definitely should have been dropped somewhere else.  The results of dropping the bomb in Japan caused a lot of damage due to the radiation.  We were not aware at the time about the affects of radiation, all we knew was that it would
take out lots of people.  I think if we had known that it wouldn't kill everyone and generations of people
would suffer from the radiation, we wouldn't have gone through with it.  All the people who suffered because of this bomb were innocent civilians where as they should have been people who were on a battlefield.  We would have been targeting people that were threatening us and would have been able to show our power instead of killing innocent people in order to show our dominance.
